What actually fits in each size

The 15 yard handles

  • A standard two-car garage cleanout
  • An average basement
  • One bathroom gut, or a single-room remodel
  • Carpet and flooring from a main level
  • A residential deck teardown
  • Brush, limbs and yard waste

Step up to the 20 yard for

  • Roof tearoffs — weight, not volume, is the reason
  • A full kitchen remodel
  • Whole-house or estate cleanouts
  • Garage plus basement in one go
  • Outbuilding or shed demolition
  • Anything you're genuinely unsure about

Not sure? Describe the pile on the phone or text us a photo. We would rather talk you into the smaller container and be right than sell you the bigger one and watch it go back half empty.

What you can and can't put in it

Goes in without a problem

  • Household junk, furniture and mattresses
  • Construction and demolition debris
  • Drywall, plaster, lumber and framing
  • Roofing shingles, felt and flashing
  • Carpet, flooring and cabinetry
  • Yard waste, brush and storm debris
  • Appliances without refrigerant

Can't go in

  • Paint, solvents, oils and chemicals
  • Batteries of any kind
  • Tires
  • Refrigerators, freezers and AC units with refrigerant still in them
  • Asbestos or anything classed as hazardous
  • Medical waste and sharps

Not sure about one item? Text a photo to 816-750-DUMP before it goes in. That thirty-second question has saved a lot of people a return trip.

How it works

  1. Call, text or book online. Tell us what the project is and roughly what's going in. We'll recommend a size rather than upsell one, and quote you a flat price on the spot.
  2. We deliver to your address. Often same or next day. We set boards under the rails on driveway placements and put the container where you're actually working, not just at the top of the drive.
  3. Fill it on your schedule. Three days or seven, whichever you booked. Load heavy flat items first and fill the gaps — most people who need a second container filled the first one with air.
  4. Tell us you're done. Call or text and we'll pick it up. If you're near the weight allowance, say so and we'll talk through the cheapest way to handle it before we haul.

Dumpster rental by city

Every city below pays the same flat rate — there is no travel surcharge no matter how far north of the river you are. Pick your town for local pricing, permit rules and where we can set the container.

Dumpsters by project

Why people north of the river call us

There is no operating sanitary landfill in Clay, Platte, Clinton, DeKalb, Caldwell, Ray or Andrew County. Every load we pull out of the Northland hauls down to Courtney Ridge in Sugar Creek. Most companies pass that mileage back to you as a travel fee that grows the further out you live. We built one flat rate instead, and published the overage rate up front so nothing on the final invoice is a surprise.

You also get the people who own the trucks. Call or text and you are talking to the family that runs the business, not a national booking platform that brokers your job to whoever answers. That is why we will talk you into the smaller container when the smaller container is right.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a dumpster rental cost in Kansas City?

A 15 yard roll-off is $325 for 3 days or $375 for 7 days. A 20 yard is $375 for 3 days or $425 for 7 days. Both prices include delivery, pickup and 2 tons of disposal. Weight over the allowance is $75 per ton. There is no fuel surcharge, no travel fee and no environmental fee, and the price is the same in every city we serve.

What size dumpster do I need?

For a two-car garage, an average basement, a single-room remodel or a residential deck teardown, the 15 yard is usually right. For a roof tearoff, a full kitchen, a whole-house or estate cleanout, or anything you're genuinely unsure about, take the 20 yard. Describe the pile on the phone or text us a photo and we'll tell you which one to book.

How fast can you deliver?

Often same day or next day, depending on where you are and what's on the trailer. Call or text 816-750-DUMP and we'll tell you honestly what we can do rather than book you and reschedule.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

We set boards under the rails on every driveway placement and we roll the container off slowly rather than dropping it. Tell us up front if your drive is fresh concrete, stamped, or sealed and we'll either take extra precautions or recommend a spot on the street or lawn instead.

How long can I keep it?

Three days or seven days, whichever you book. If you need longer, call before the pickup date and we'll work something out — it's a lot cheaper than a second delivery.

Do I need a permit?

Not if the container sits entirely on your own driveway or private property. If it has to go in the street or public right-of-way, rules vary by city — Kansas City and Gladstone issue actual permits, several other cities require written permission. Tell us the address and we'll sort it out before we deliver.

What can't go in the dumpster?

Paint, solvents, oils and chemicals, batteries, tires, appliances that still have refrigerant in them, asbestos, and medical waste. Everything else — household junk, furniture, mattresses, construction and demolition debris, drywall, lumber, shingles, carpet, cabinetry, yard waste — goes in without a problem.

Do you serve my town?

We deliver across the Kansas City Northland and north Missouri from our yard in Lathrop: Liberty, Kearney, Smithville, Gladstone, Platte City, Parkville, KC Northland, Excelsior Springs, Lathrop, Plattsburg, Cameron and St. Joseph. Same flat rate in all of them.
